The Ministry of Digital Affairs was established based on the regulation of the Council of Ministers of 7th December 2015 (by transformation of the former Ministry of Administration and Digitization). The regulation came into force on the day of announcement, with effect from 16th November 2015. In accordance with the decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 9th December 2015 the Minister of Digital Affairs is in charge of the government administration department - digitalization.
What we do
The mission of the ministry is to create a digital boost for the development of Poland. The main tasks of the new ministry are to develop broadband infrastructure, support the creation of web content and e-services and promote digital competences among citizens. Digitization is also key to modern administration.
By coordinating actions in these areas we hope to make our society and economy grow. Digitization enables synergies between various domains – access to internet and digital economy. Not only does digitization help economy grow, but it also promotes equal opportunities for all citizens. Internet will make it easier to to have access to cultural goods and jobs regardless of whether you live in a big city or a remote village.
Effective digitization is based on three pillars: providing internet access, developing web content and services and promoting digital competences.

Committee of the Council of Ministers for the Digitization
Committee of the Council of Ministers for the Digitization is a subsidiary body of the Council of Ministers and the Prime Minister. It includes tasks such as, in particular, consideration of drafts of government documents as it relates, inter alia, the digitalization of public administration and public registers, the development of the information society and the development of broadband networks, audiovisual policy, implementation of solutions, in particular concerning education, health and e-signature and application information technology in the construction of knowledge-based economy.
Council for Digitization
Council is a think-tank whose members support the knowledge and experience of the Ministry of Digital Affairs and Committee of the Council of Ministers for the Digitization. Council gives its opinion on the strategic documents and other documents related to digitization, connectivity and development of the information society. It works, for example in areas such as digital inclusion, protection of privacy on the network, removal of barriers to the development of the electronic economy, the reform of intellectual property rights on the network.
